After a few early morning showers, we are left with slightly drier weather as we head into mid morning. We are not out of the woods just yet as we can expect some more rain and thunderstorm activity for this afternoon. South central KY is, once again, under a Slight risk for severe weather, so threats today are gusty winds, brief heavy rain, and small to severe size hail (near 1"). After today, the thunderstorm threat will decrease greatly and only scattered showers will be the case for Thursday. By Friday, we will see full sunshine return, but will be cooler with highs only in the lower 70s. Memorial Day weekend looks great as we can expect sunshine in abundance and high temperatures back to the lower 80s!
