We tied a record high today, as in this is the coldest high temperature for April 15 ever here in Bowling Green is 46 degrees. We officially hit that mark at 1:42PM. Tonight will be downright frigid for April! The all-time low for entire month here in Bowling Green is 18 degrees back in 1875. Now we won't be THAT cold tonight, but mid-upper 20s is not out of the question. Tonight's record low is 27, and we certainly could tie or break that early Wednesday morning. The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning for much of Kentucky tonight. A hard freeze is anticipated up in Louisville, and is certainly possible here in Bowling Green depending on how long we stay under freezing. Go ahead and be proactive, get those plants covered or bring them inside tonight to prevent their buds from damage. Thankfully, these frigid temps will depart Wednesday afternoon as we'll get back to about 60, still 10 degrees below normal for April, but still much more tolerable. Sunshine will stay through Thursday afternoon as another system will bring clouds Thursday evening, Friday will be cloudy with a few scattered showers through the day. Saturday will be dry once again and in the mid-upper 60s. The next real chance for solid amounts of rain appear to be Easter Sunday in the evening through Tuesday. Temperatures will hold in the 60s throughout the weekend and into early next week. Be sure to check us out on Radar's Facebook page, Twitter, @NBC40_weather and Instagram, @nbc40weather.
