Lindsey Collins is the newest member to the SKYWATCH 40 weather team.  She can be seen covering the weather every weekend and she also brings you up to date each week about what's going on at WKU with the "WKU Connection" and she and Radar bring you upcoming community events every week with "Word From Radar".

Lindsey came to South-Central Kentucky by way of the University of South Carolina and Mississippi State University.  While an undergrad at "the real USC", as she likes to call it, Lindsey received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Mass Communication. She also held the title of Head Weathercaster for the campus news show, Carolina News.

After graduation from USC, Lindsey decided to further her education and knowledge of the weather and headed west to join the nationally known broadcast meteorology program at Mississippi State University.  While at MSU, Lindsey earned a master's degree in Geosciences and was part of MSU's collegiate weather forecasting team that captured the 2009 National Championship, beating rival MIT. Lindsey also got the opportunity of a lifetime, logging many miles and long hours storm chasing across the Great Plains during the summer of 2008.

A self proclaimed "professional student", Lindsey plans on earning a second masters in communication starting this fall at WKU.  During her free time Lindsey enjoys playing with her cat Major, watching the Food Network, and brushing up on her second passion- cooking and baking.

Lindsey is excited about her move to South-Central Kentucky and looks forward to covering the weather for the residents of the Commonwealth.
