Moving Forward with Digital Television

As we move forward on our trek to digital-only television, today (December 18, 2007), I put our new digital transmitter on the air, increasing our transmitted power by 750% - YES 750%. Now, other than only viewers within 30 miles of our transmitter at Smiths Grove, the entire region should be able to get our digital signal. Some may still need an external antenna, especially in the out-laying areas, but those in Bowling Green and Glasgow should be able to obtain our signal with a decent set of rabbit ears. I still suggest a good amplified antenna though, and you may have to play around with it to get a good stable signal. Everyone’s best bet is an inexpensive amplified outdoor antenna, situated above the roofline of your house.

I am including in this posting, some good articles to help you in your transition to digital television. I cannot take credit for writing any of these articles, but why rewrite what has already been written. I doubt I could have done as good a job.

I hope everyone will have a safe and happy Christmas season!
