The Lovely Ladies of Troop 1796

Radar and I have had the privilege of meeting many great people across the community and as established in a previous blog, inquiring minds want to know more about that famous weather dog.

“Where does Radar live?”
  At the station.
“Where did you get Radar from?”
From the Bowling Green Warren County Humane Society.

A few months ago, I had the chance to help a lovely group of young ladies earn their weather badge.  Along with all the weather information that was shared, so were those basic weather dog facts. I always receive great feedback from the community once they know that Radar was adopted from the local humane society. But, I will have to say what Girl Scout Troop 1796 has done tops the list. Girl Scout Troop Leader, Jeana Draper, recently informed me that the girls of Troop 1796 are donating some of the money from their cookie sales to the Humane Society.  These young ladies are already contributing to their community in many ways and this one thoughtful act shows just how much they make a difference. That thoughtfulness pleases me more than a box of Thin Mints and to that I say, “Atta girls!”
