Radar the Weather Dog: Future Olympic Runner?
Most of you know that Radar lives here at the station during the week. On the weekends, he is pampered and trained at Alpha Pet Boarding by Dustin Vance. Each Sunday, I pick him up before my shift begins... sometimes we'll stop for a run at the new dog park or browse through Petco for a new toy. He loves looking at all the critters and other dogs in there... however, he's not too fond of cats, heh :) Anyway, this Sunday I pulled up to Alpha and saw him running on a new contraption: a doggie treadmill! When it's too cold or yucky weather outside... Dustin can exercise his canine friends indoors. Radar ran FOUR miles on his first try! Ok, that's more than I've ran at one time in almost a decade since my high school track/cross-country days... maybe it's time for me to get back on the treadmill too, haa. Here's some pictures I took of Radar's new workout machine.
