Time: Tuesdays & Thursdays 7PM - Sundays 2PM Location: Hardin Planetarium, WKU Campus Event DescriptionThe Hardin Planetarium is offering a new summer presentation titled “The Amazing Night Sky.” This is a new program created and presented by Dr. Rachel Campbell, educational observatory scientist in Western Kentucky University’s Department of Physics and Astronomy. The presentation will highlight the areas in which amateur astronomers are still able to make significant contributions to our understanding of astronomy and how local people can become involved. Movies, animations and photos from various sources will be featured, as well as a discussion on how people and families can preserve their own local dark sky. Showings are at 7 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, and 2 p.m. Sundays in June and July, but there will be no showing July 4.
