The asphalt rock “Kyrock”, mined in Edmonson County, was used on the streets of Havana, Rio and the Indianapolis Speedway, now there is a possibility it could be used in the production of energy. The state’s economic development incentive legislation approved during the special session provides economic development incentives to companies making a capital investment of $100 million for an energy production facility that uses such materials.
