SKywatch40 Morning Webcast 2/2/2012
The warming trend continues over the next two days as highs warm to the 60s and 70s. Otherwise, partly sunny and breezy. There are additional chances of scattered showers through portions of the week, though rain isn't expected to last all day. Expect a slight chance of a shower or thundershower today, mainly southeast. Our best rain chance will be Thursday evening when thunderstorms become likely ahead of a cold front. Some of the storms could be strong Thursday night with gusty, possibly damaging winds. The Storm Prediction Center has placed southern Kentucky in a SLIGHT RISK of severe storms during this period. A brief cool down is in store by Friday and Saturday as daytime highs cool to the upper 40s to low 50s.
