Skywatch40 Wednesday Evening Webcast 9-8-2010
Overnight, expect a partly to mostly cloudy sky with a stray shower possible early, mainly south of the KY/TN border. Lows in the upper 50s. Our weather for Thursday will be similar to today's with a mix of sun and clouds and seasonable temperatures. Highs around 83 degrees. An isolated thundershower can't be completely ruled out by late day and especially late evening. Rain chances increase for Friday as leftover moisture from Hermine advances northward. Some uncertainty still exists on exactly how the moisture will impact south central Kentucky. However, our best chances for scattered storms will be on Friday and Saturday. A frontal system also swings through on Saturday, coupled with the leftover tropical moisture. Some instances of locally heavy rain are possible through the first half of the weekend. We'll also see a slight increase in the heat and humidity during this period with highs in the upper 80s. The weekend should wrap up with clearing for Sunday and then lots of sunshine, drier conditions and a return to seasonable temps for much of next week. Meteorologist Jay Brandon |
