Skywatch40 Friday Evening Webcast 2-5-2010
A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until noon on Saturday. Rain will change over to snow during the late evening/overnight hours. Areas of South Central Kentucky could possibly see up to 1', mainly in grassy areas. North Central Kentucky could see around 2" plus, with higher amounts in extreme northern KY. Roads should be fine, other than some slick spots on bridges/overpasses and secondary roads. Lows overnight in the upper 20s. We will see cloudy skies for Saturday, with the chance of light snow showers diminishing throughout the day. Highs will be in the mid 30s. Overnight Saturday will be calm, with mostly cloudy skies and lows in the mid 20s. Quiet weather will continue for the later part of the weekend as well, partly sunny skies for Sunday with, with temperatures remaining steady in the mid 30s. Our next storm system will bring the chance for rain and possibly a rain/snow mix for Monday and Tuesday. We will then see the sun return and cooler temps, Wednesday through Friday.
