Today On Bowling Green TODAY
Students and faculty from Western Kentucky University’s Habitat for Humanity Campus Chapter are bypassing the beach during next week's spring break and instead will doing volunteer work. More 30 people from Western are taking in the non-profit’s Collegiate Challenge, an alternative academic break program. The Western representatives will be spread among three locations around the United States. A documentary film maker will be discussing his work on the Civil War in an upcoming program at Riverview at Hobson Park. The program by Dorian Walker of Bowling Green is part of an effort by Riverview, which is a site on the Civil War Discovery Trail, to do more programming as the 150th anniversary of the Civil War approaches in 2011. |
