SKYWATCH40 Morning Webcast 8/27/2010
It was a cool night across South Central Kentucky as last night's lows dipped into the 50s for the first time since almost two months ago. As for today, it will be nearly perfect as we wrap up the work week with brilliant sunshine, low humidity and pleasant conditions thanks to high pressure anchored over the Ohio Valley. Daytime highs will be a few degrees warmer, but seasonable around 86. Look for a clear and starry sky again for tonight... low 60. The weather should cooperate nicely if you have any outdoor activities in mind or plans to attend some of the Hot Rods' remaining home games of the season. The Hot Rods are next up against the Lake Co. Captains this evening @ 7:00. There will also be a fireworks show Friday night at the Bowling Green Ballpark. High pressure shifts to our east over the Mid Atlantic states for the weekend. This will result in a more southerly wind shift and cause a slight increase in the heat and humidity. High temps will rise a bit above average to the lower 90s. We're still not looking for much of a heat index over the weekend. The outlook for next week remains rather quiet with more sunny days, no rain chances and highs in the lower 90s. |
