SKYWATCH40 Morning Webcast 8/31/2010
Sunshine returns to South Central Kentucky today with as high pressure strengthens to our east; it will also usher in a warmer, more southerly wind flow. Temperatures rise above normal in the low to mid 90s through Thursday. Today's highs will be around 92 and our low 67. Tomorrow will hold much of the same as well. A cold front advances through our area late Thursday into Friday. Widely scattered showers and storms are possible along and ahead of the front. At this time, the outlook for Labor Day weekend appears much more comfortable. Behind the front, expect drier, less humid and cooler air with highs quite seasonable in the low to mid 80s over the weekend. Sunshine continues for Labor Day on Monday, but warmer with highs in the upper 80s.
