Skywatch40 Thursday Evening Webcast 8-26-2010
We'll continue to see a preview of fall across southern Kentucky as we finish out the week. Overnight, we'll dip into the 50s for the first time since almost two months ago. Low of 56 and clear in Bowling Green. Another nearly perfect day is ahead for us on Friday. Expect more brilliant sunshine, low humidity and pleasant conditions thanks to high pressure anchored over the Ohio Valley. Daytime highs will be a few degrees warmer, but seasonable around 86. Look for a clear and starry sky again for Friday night... low 60. The weather should cooperate nicely if you have any outdoor activities in mind or plans to attend some of the Hot Rods' remaining home games of the season. The Hot Rods are next up against the Lake Co. Captains Friday evening @ 7:00. There will also be a fireworks show Friday night at the Bowling Green Ballpark. High pressure shifts to our east over the Mid Atlantic states for the weekend. This will result in a more southerly wind shift and cause a slight increase in the heat and humidity. High temps will rise a bit above average to the lower 90s. We're still not looking for much of a heat index over the weekend. The outlook for next week remains rather quiet with more sunny days, no rain chances and highs in the lower 90s. Meteorologist Jay Brandon |
