Skywatch40 Tuesday Evening Webcast 8-31-2010
We had a dry and sunny day across southern Kentucky. Temperatures were slightly above average and we'll continue to warm up over the next few days. Overnight, skies stay mostly clear... lows in the mid to upper 60s. Expect more sunshine for Wednesday and becoming hot with highs around 93 degrees. Wednesday night will be partly cloudy... low 67. Partial sunshine remains for Thursday, but clouds increase by Thursday night along with a slight chance of a late shower or storm. A cold front advances through our area on Friday with scattered showers and storms possible along and ahead of the front. At this time, the outlook for Labor Day weekend appears much more comfortable. Behind the front, expect drier, less humid and cooler air with highs a bit below normal in the low to mid 80s over the weekend. Sunshine continues for Labor Day on Monday, but warmer with highs in the upper 80s. Meteorologist Jay Brandon |
