A weak frontal boundary could give the Commonwealth a few showers and storms today otherwise more hot and humid weather for south central Kentucky with highs nearly ten degrees above the norm. More heat and humidity to begin a new week with the hottest days Tuesday and Wednesday with temps in the mid to upper 90s and heat indices hitting the triple digit mark in the heat of the day. Always use caution in extreme heat if outdoors for long periods. Overnight lows stay very mild throughout the week near the 70 mark. A few disturbances along with daytime heating could trigger a few showers and storms Thursday through Saturday across the region. Nonetheless it stays hot and humid for southern Kentucky all week long.
