The newly formed group, Southern Kentucky Quails
Forever, wants to establish an educational habitat
within Bowling Green so people can see what it takes
to bring animals back to the areas where they once
roamed and flew. Member Jerome Wilson says the group
hoping to grow native grasses and flowers on five
acres near Weldon Peete Park. Coordinator of the area
Greenways system, Josh Moore, and several commission
members are intrigued by the idea and says it would
fulfill some earlier discussions about using land
near the Greenways as an educational tool.

Governor Steve Beshear made a stop in Bowling Green
on Monday. Beshear visited the Magna Car Top systems
company with several members from the Chamber of
Commerce and the state’s cabinet for economic
development. The group discussed plans to make an
expansion for the Magna Vista Car Top company.
