Radar's Weather Art Challenge

Every other month WNKY's Radar the Weather Dog will post a new weather topic.  Contestants must draw a picture that they feel best represents the weather topic.  Radar and the WNKY Weather Team will be judging the pictures based on creativity, neatness, and how the artwork pertains to the posted topic.
• Winning contestants will be notified by email.
• Winning pictures will be posted on WNKY.NET
• Three Grand Finalists, one from each age group, will be chosen out of the years previous winners. These three winners will be notified by email and thier images will be posted on WNKY.NET.

Prizes will be awarded to each winner.  Prizes will be announced when judging begins.

CURRENT TOPIC:

"My Favorite Animal"

Entries must be received no later than November 1st, 2007.
Winners will be announced no later than November 15th, 2007.

The Rules

  • Open to children ages 4 - 12.
  • One winner per weather art topic will be selected from each of these three age groups:
    • 4-6 years old
    • 7-9 years old
    • 10-12 years old
  • The weather artwork must be the contestant's original hand-made drawing, using crayons, colored pencils and/or markers on an 8.5 x 11 sheet of white paper.
  • Entry forms must be completed and signed by a parent or guardian for the entry to be accepted.
  • Completed entries must arrive at WNKY before the posted deadline for the weather art topic.
    Please allow two weeks for the mail.
  • Completed entries must be mailed to:

  • Winning contestants will be notified by email.
  • Winning pictures will be posted on WNKY.NET, along with the winner's name, age and hometown.
