Big Red A Candidate For Mascot Hall Of Fame
Bowling Green, Ky. — For the second year in a row, Western Kentucky University mascot Big Red is a finalist for the Mascot Hall of Fame. Big Red is one of six collegiate mascots on the ballot, joining Brutus Buckeye (Ohio State), The Ibis (Miami), Lil Red (Nebraska), Smokie (Tennessee) and Sparty (Michigan State). There are also six professional mascots on the ballot. On-line voting at www.mascothalloffame.com begins Monday and will run through Sept. 6.
