Emily Goodman - WNKY.net: Your Weather Source in Bowling Green KY

Emily is the Weekend Meteorologist at WNKY. She can be seen Friday at 4:55, 6, and 10 pm as well as Saturday evening at 10. Emily's SoKY Spotlight segments can also be seen on Bowling Green TODAY every Friday morning at 6:30 on NBC. She does the weekly Word from Radar segments as well.

Emily is a graduate of the University of the Cumberlands where she received a Bachelor's Degree in Communication Arts. She also has a Masters Degree from Mississippi State University where she majored in Geosciences with an emphasis in Broadcast Meteorology. During her two years at MSU, Emily was active in the East Mississippi Chapter AMS/NWA and served as the Treasurer for one year. She was also a part of the 3-year winning National Forecast Competition team at MSU. Emily interned at WTVQ in Lexington, KY the Summer of 2010 where she gained much experience in weather broadcasting.

Emily has had a fascination for weather for as long as she can remember. Storm chasing also peaks her interest. She enjoys the challenge of winter weather forecasting, and her passion is keeping the public informed during severe weather events. Emily was born and raised in Mt. Vernon KY, and is now a resident of Bowling Green. She recently married Rev. Ed Goodman in September, and is now enjoying her new role as a wife.
