Warren Central High School student Nathan Carter took second place in composition at the Ashland Inc. Governor's Cup State Finals academic competition held March 15-17. Carter was behind only Will Chadwick of John Hardin High School in composition. Carter's nine points allowed Warren Central to tie for 13th place in the team standings. Paul Laurence Dunbar High School was the team champion, with Russell High School taking second.
