WEHS student picked for exchange program

Warren East High School senior Meagan Harris has been accepted by Youth For Understanding (YFU) as an international high school exchange student. She will travel abroad to live with a host family and participate in a cultural immersion experience on the 2008 YFU Short Term to Germany. Harris is a recipient of the Toyota Manufacturing Kentucky Community program, which will help pay her expenses for the trip.

Harris will become one of the more than 225,000 young people from around the world to have participated in the YFU exchange program. YFU USA works with international partners in more than 60 countries and offers summer, semester, and year-long educational programs to destinations in Asia, Africa, Europe, Australia, and Latin America.
