Monte Cassady, principal of Franklin-Simpson Middle School since January 2002, has been hired as principal of Warren County's Rockfield Elementary School. He replaces Damon Tabor, who is retiring at the end of June after nine years as Rockfield principal.

Cassady has been a teacher and administrator in Butler, Warren and Simpson counties since 1994. He was a teacher and coach at Butler County Middle School from 1994 through 1999 then spent a year as surrogate principal and physical education teacher at Warren County's Lost River Elementary School. He then spent a year as dean of students at Butler County Middle School before taking the job as Franklin-Simpson Middle School principal.

Cassady, who lives in the Rockfield community, earned his bachelor's and master's degrees and his Rank I administrative certification at Western Kentucky University.
