The Kentucky Mavericks have assembled they're coaching staff -Head coack is Vincent Askew former NBA star, and Otis Keys his assistant and director of scouting a former Globe Trootter and they have said" We will be scouting for players at the DIRT BOWL at Bowling Parks and Recreation 225 East Third Ave., Bowling Green, KY this Saturday so look for us and pre-register for try-outs"! Open try-outs (anyone can come) for potential players starting July 7th through 9th at 3pm-7pm at Phil Moore Park in Warren county. $2,000 sign on bonus for most impressive player!
Also the MAVERICKS TEAM OWNER Jason Smith to fight in SCOTTSVILLE, KY at the ALLEN COUNTY FAIR! at 6:00PM in the Warrior Fighting Challenge. There will be a press conference on Friday July 11 to announce the team roster and lter that evening they are hosting Cocktails with the Coaches at TGI Fridays in Bowling Green. The team is working hard to support the community and plans to be involved in many events throughout the region including Franklin, Scottville, Glasgow and Morgagntown. Jason Smith the owner stated" We are not asking for any monetary support from the city or county we feel the local businesses will be our support".They are actively seeking sponsors in all these areas who want to support baketball.
