Caleb Miller, a student at Natcher Elementary School, is the overall winner in an essay contest sponsored by Western Kentucky University. As part of a literacy program, WKU offered local students the opportunity to enter essay and art contests with the theme, "How Can WKU Help Make My Dreams Come True?" Miller's essay was judged best. Another Natcher student, Leonardo Trinh, was a winner in the art competition, and Rockfield Elementary School student Abby Minnicks was the fourth grade winner in the essay competition.

Contest winners will receive a replica WKU Lady Topper jersey and appear as characters in a book entitled "Follow Your Dreams" that focuses on Lady Topper coach Mary Taylor Cowles and her support of a young girl's dream to be a Lady Topper. The winners are also eligible to earn partial scholarships to WKU.
