Warren East teacher earns Best Buy grant

Eric Elder, technology teacher at Warren East High School, has been selected for a $5,000 grant to purchase technology equipment in the 2009 Best Buy Teach Award program. Elder is the only Warren County teacher to earn a Teach Award this year. Best Buy Teach Awards, ranging from $1,000 to $10,000, are being awarded to fewer than 500 schools nationwide this year to sustain or enhance existing educational programs. Since 2004, the Best Buy Teach Award program has awarded nearly $17 million to more than 6,000 schools.
