So, I’m on my way to lunch on Nashville Road today at around 11:30am when I suddenly see a police car’s lights flashing ahead of me. I then realize there is a long line of cars in front of me. I think, “Oh, no, there is a wreck.” I’m a patient person and I realize accidents happen and I found myself hoping no one was hurt.
Several minutes later I had worked my way up to where the police car was to find a person running across the street with a gas can in their hand. He runs up to the car that is holding up traffic and starts to pour in some gas.
Now, I know a lot of people who let their cars run really low on gas and I have known several people to let their cars run out of gas, but I think this situation of a lunch time traffic jam is a good reason to put a big “G” on everyone’s car who drives around on fumes. This way we all know who they are and how silly they are being.
The real strange part is that a lady pulls up next to the guy while he is putting the gas in his car (holding up the other lane of traffic), talks for about 30 seconds and then hands him a few dollars. What was that all about? Interesting lunch!
