Fred’s, the low-end department store, is closed. I drove by yesterday and saw that the sign was off the building and there was no sign of anyone. I did not go there much but when they used to double coupons up to $1 on Saturdays I went every week. I would by some $1.50 toothpaste and use a $1 coupon that they would double to $2 and BAM—They owed ME $.50. Oh, how much I miss those double coupon days a Fred’s.
