Earth Days Activities
Fri., April 20
11 WKU students and faculty will participate in the 2nd annual Campus-Community Partnerships for Sustainability Conference at EKU and many in the Student Summit to create a Sustainability Declaration for universities in KY.
Watch "Planet Earth 2007: Seven Ways to Help Save the World," will be on all ABC News channels. “From water shortages, to species extinction, to alternate energy sources, this global news event will feature ABC News anchors and correspondents reporting live from all seven continents.”

Earth Day Compact Fluorescent Light Bulb Giveaway, at Bread and Bagels, 871 Broadway Ave, from 11 am-1 pm Sponsored by BGGreen and the UU Church. Contact Christa Gaskill @ gaskicf@wku.edu.

WKU Earth Days Festival! 11:30 am-7:30 pm, DUC South Lawn, WKU Campus. Speakers, bands, booths, movies, photography contest, and events for the enjoyment and education of everyone who comes. You are encouraged to stop by and enjoy this great event sponsored by the Greentoppers.
Go BG Transit (http://www.casoky.org/transportation.shtml) will offer free City transit services for this day.
News & Events
Tom Fitzgerald, Exec. Director of the KY Resources Council and a tireless advocate and attorney for the environment in KY will be coming to BG to speak. More details to follow. Co-sponsored by Sierra Club and BGGreen.
Many thanks to Jeff Jenson’s 330 Design class at WKU, for accepting the designing a BGGreen logo as a class project. Once selected, we’ll be setting up a logo “button-making party”, so plan to join the fun! More details to follow.
Concerts in the Park Recycling Project Volunteers to sit at an information/recycling table during the June concerts, held Weds. at noon-1p, are needed! Contact Cynthia Sprouse @ cynthia.sprouse@wku.edu.
