LeAnn Fisher, a classroom teacher at Warren County's Briarwood Elementary School for the past six years, has been hired as Briarwood's assistant principal. She fills a position created because of Briarwood's increasing enrollment. Fisher, who taught briefly at Lost River Elementary School before coming to Briarwood, will assist Debbie Richey, Briarwood's principal since the school opened in 2001. Fisher earned her bachelor's and master's degrees at Western Kentucky University. She has taught both third and fourth grade students at Briarwood.
